Egypt: A Travel Ban Issued Against Mr. Magdi Abdulhamid

On October 2, 2017, the authorities of Cairo International airport prevented Mr. Magdi Abdulhamid, president of the Egyptian Association for Community Participation Enhancement (EACPE) from boarding a flight to Jordan to participate in the Euro-Mediterranean partnership and development forum, in which he supposed to deliver his speech on behalf of the Arab civil society during the opening session of the conference, pursuant to a travel ban issued by an investigating magistrate in Egypt.On October 2, 2017, the authorities of Cairo International airport prevented Mr. Magdi Abdulhamid from boarding a flight to Jordan to participate in the Euro-Mediterranean partnership and development forum, in which he supposed to deliver his speech on behalf of the Arab civil society during the opening session of the conference, pursuant to a travel ban issued by an investigating magistrate in Egypt.
