Launching the Implementation of the National Action Plan on UNSCR 1325 in Iraq

The overall objective of this program is to contribute to the promotion of women’s human rights and women’s role and participation in peace building and reconciliation in Iraq through supporting the implementation of the INAP1325.

The specific objectives of the program are: 

  • Establishing a structural space for multi-sector dialogue on gender equality policies in relation to peace and security and legislation between womens’ rights organizations and State actors
  • Reinvigoration of the CSTF and their capacities to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the INAP1325.  
  • Supporting the CSTF in coordinating and ensuring cross sector cooperation for the implementation of the INAP.

Launching the Implementation of National Action Plan - Iraq

The Iraqi Cross Sector Task Force 1325 in partnership with the Euromed Feminist Initiative held the conference on launching the implementation of the National Action Plan for UNSCR1325 in Iraq on September 1st 2016 in Erbil. The event was supported by the Embassy of the Netherlands.
