In the frame of the project “Enhancing women´s participation in decision making and peace building processes in Syria”, EuroMed Feminist Initiative has supported consultations with women´s rights activists and civil society organizations to develop a Common Agenda to Combat Violence Against Women & Girls (VAWG) in Syria. The consultation process brought together 145 activists, representatives from women´s rights civil society, researchers and gender experts who analyzed challenges, recommended priorities, and established a Common Agenda to Combat VAWG as one of the main barriers for women to participate at all level of decision making.
Several areas of interventions have been identified and priorities under each area recommended. Consequently, the Common agenda to Combat VAWG lead to a series of four workshops on UNSCR 1325 that are being followed by three trainings of trainers courses which will be delivered by expert trainers for women activists who have participated in the previous workshops and who have shown interest and commitment to become trainers on UNSCR 1325, making the link with recommendations from the common agenda.
TOT courses will be delivered from September 17, 2021 until September 21, 2021.
